Hello,

First of all, bless you for trying to do the best for these animals that you can. I know it is hard work.

I have a few suggestions that might help get you started. First, you can try a search in the "Resources" section of WagNBrag. You'll find the link in the upper-right corner of the page along with links to groups, pet talk, and classifieds. In "Resources" you can search for a variety of services by entering your city, state, and ZIP code. I would recommend searching in the "Adoption" section for veterinary hospitals or animal rescue groups in your area.

You have already found a couple of additional methods here on WagNBrag-- these forums and the classified ads section. Maybe one of the WagNBrag groups could be of help to you? You might try the German Shepherd group to see if anyone there has any recommendations.

Outside of the WagNBrag world, I would recommend that you see if there are any German Shepherd rescue groups or non-breed specific rescue groups in your region that might be able to help out. Is there a college of veterinary medicine in your area? You might also see if they have any services they can provide. It's not a guarantee, but it's probably worth asking. You may find that the college prefers to work with established rescue groups, so I'd start with the rescue groups first.

I hope that's helpful. Let us know about your progress and what you are able to find. Perhaps you could post updates for us in the WagNBrag Stories section with some photos of the dogs?

Take care,
