Spring Pests!

I HATE ANTS!
Hate them. With passions. I hate the big black ones that seem to love my kitchen sink. I hate the little black ones that come in the window next to the couch and crawl on me. I hate leaving my computer there and take it somewhere and an ant goes crawling across the screen!

That said, I don't want to use chemicals. Last year Nubs got ahold of the bait traps and tried to eat it. Not good.

How do I keep those little devils out of my house? Quick, before I rip my hair out! :)

I am an avid reader of mother earth news, and few of the tips they have listed are as follows:

Sprinkle cinnamon in an even layer around windowsills, doorframes, wherever the ants are coming in at. If you watch them, as soon as they touch it they will turn around and leave.

Use fresh spearmint to throw off their scent trails to the other ants.
