Hi Danny,

I assume by paperwork, you mean AKC registration papers? If so, here's some info:

A purebred dog is eligible for AKC registration if its litter has been registered. When you purchase a dog said to be AKC-registrable, you should get an individual Dog Registration Application from the seller. Once the application has been completed, you should submit it to the AKC with the proper fee.

Ugh!

(Sorry about all the crazy posts! someone weird is going on with posting tonight)

Conditional registration is only for cases where the dog appears and is believed to be purebred – it is just that one of the dog’s ancestors is unknown.

You can get more info by going to the AKC website: http://www.akc.org
