Need help in in breaking doxie from peeing when excited

My doxie is yr old now and has been fixed. He started peeing when when got home cause he was excited ot see us. I try to ingore it but he still pees before i can ge the door open and then i put him out outside and pet him and he pees . How can I break him of It.. He is making messes in the house plus, he will just pee on the floor in front of us also when he is mad he pees in the house too ...How can we break our spoiled Doxie .........

They have a pee button on the top of their head don't they? My neighbor has one and they tried and tried to get him to stop. Poor things are just so happy they can't help it!
They really just did the ignoring him thing for forever. It was pretty hard because they had to get home and not acknowledge him for about 20 minutes so that he finally didn't anticipate interaction when they got home. It is hard. I am not going to tell you it wasn't. But eventually it worked. They would get home, let him out ignore him and let him calm down. Then they loved on him.
