Where Should Billy Live?

I am curious if anyone has more information besides what we read in the media. They make it seem like a no brainer let the elephant go to the sanctuary and be with other animals. It would be terrible to be lonely.

The zoo brings up people not being able to see him. To me it sounds like they are wanting to keep him from the money he brings.

I think if they want to keep him in this new habitat, bring in a friend or two!

From what I have read it just seems irresponsible for a zoo to keep a pack animal in solitary confinement. Zoos are supposed to be more concerned with the well being of an animal than their wallets.

I agree, if they want to keep him they need to get him a friend.

Elephants are not loner animals and live together in large groups. It's almost a form of cruelty to make a social animal live alone....I hope that they get him a friend soon!!!
