Potty Training... CATS!

So. I hate litter boxes. I would sooo buy one of the automatic ones but alas I am broke. Late one night I was watching TV and saw a infomercial about potty training your cats.... SCORE! So, I read up about it online and bought it. I am about 2 weeks in and it seems to be doing well. I have two cats, Yogi (fat and happy) and BooBoo (scared, mommas boy), so it is harder to get both trained on it. Especially BooBoo because apparently he is scared of the toliet. I think hes used it only couple of times but I am worried he wont catch on as readily as normal.

So, I guess what I want to know is---

has anyone else done this?
how did it go?
any tips for me?

So how far along are you in this process? Are they taking to it the way the product said they would?

Well. See, I have an addiction to shoes. I love them. It was going ok till one day they stopped using it. That same day one of them POOPED IN MY SHOES. I was traumatized. So, I backed off. They are still using the training tray but I set it on the ground. I think they just need more time to get used to it. Eventually I will try again. This weekend I spent time re-organizing my shoes aka picking them up off the floor and out of harms way!
