I saw a great feature this weekend on CBS Sunday Morning. Bill Geist was in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, profiling the upcoming election. No, not THAT election. He was looking at the exciting four-legged (or three-legged in the case of one candidate) race for the title of Mayor of Rabbit Hash.

The community is hosting an election for mayor amongst various nominated pets. It costs $1 to vote online and the voting deadline is 6 p.m. November 3. You can vote in person on Election Day, November 4, if you happen to be in Rabbit Hash.

For additional information about the candidates, which include 11 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 donkey, you can visit Rabbit Hash's web site at http://www.rabbithashusa.com/election_vote.php

Proceeds from the election benefit the local historical society in Rabbit Hash.
