<p>My sister and her family are thinking about a summer vacation in 2009 (we plan things early in my family). They are thinking about an Atlantic Coast beach vacation, but they want to bring the family dogs (a terrier mix and a chihuahua mix).</p>
<p>Do any of you have any recommendations on dog-friendly beaches and rental houses? They are particularly interested in the Southeast (particularly between the Outer Banks and Savannah), but are up to any good sites within a reasonable driving distance from their home in Virginia.</p>
