I head about this story and was just floored! We all think about dogs in puppy mills and get sad, these people stood up and took over!

You won't hear them say a bad thing about the mill owner, she is a lady who lost her husband, got overwhelmed and couldn't manage, but she tried. They won't deny that.

So Cara and Alan Baxter did what few would. They are forever cleaning cages, paying for their food out of their own pockets and trying to find each dog a loving home. When I say food out of pocket, I mean 300 pounds of dog food every day. wow.

Good news? In the comments people are reporting that all the dogs have been adopted. This story could have ended completley differently. We could have heard about the police happening upon an old lady with hundreds of sick, or dead animals. Finally, a puppy mill story with a happy ending thanks to two selfless heros!
